HEC opens the online registration for the Law Admission Test (LAT) 2024. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) administers the Law Admission Test (Law-LAT) for individuals aspiring to pursue a five-year undergraduate LLB Degree Program in HEC/PBC-recognized public and private sector universities/institutions and their accredited affiliated colleges. The HEC Law Admission Test will be conducted across major cities of Pakistan, with students having the flexibility to choose their preferred examination center.

The tentative date for the HEC Law Admission Test is June 2024, and the deadline to apply for the test is May 20, 2024. Interested candidates can complete the application process online via the HEC website. It’s important to highlight that the HEC Law Admission Test is a prerequisite for admission to the LLB program in any Government or Private University and their affiliated colleges.

HEC LAT Test Registration 2024

It is officially announced to those applicants seeking admission to the LLB (hons) 5 year and 3 year program that the Supreme Court has issued an order requiring them to take the Law Admission Test (LAT), which will be conducted through HEC. LAW Universities and colleges in both the public and private sectors will admit those students who will pass LAT Test with 50% Marks.

How to Apply for LAT 2024 Online?

To register for the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) 2024, simply follow these steps:

• Visit the following link: http://etc.hec.gov.pk for online registration.
• If you encounter any difficulties during the online registration process, you can seek assistance by visiting onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk, contacting the HEC helpline, or reaching out to HEC regional offices for guidance.

The application submission process involves two steps:

a. Complete your profile using the “My Profile” section.

b. Submit your application by using the “Law Admission Test” link located on the menu panel in the left-hand sidebar of the online portal.

• Only applications that have been SUBMITTED will be considered for the LAT Test. Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE mode will not be entertained.
• Test Fee of Rs. 1800/- is required to be deposited via 1Link 1Bill invoice participating Bank/ATM/Internet Banking/Mobile Banking/Easypaisa/JazzCash/Upesa.
• After selecting the link for bill invoice payment, open or sign into your mobile app and navigate to the Bill payment or payment services section. Select Bill Invoice payment services and enter the consumer number generated by the ETC portal. Once you see the details, proceed to pay the amount.
• After depositing the fee through the link 1Bill Invoice, click on “Verify Online Payment” on the ETC Dashboard.
• Ensure that any queries or complaints are addressed before the closure of the web registration portal.
• The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Registrations beyond the deadline will not be entertained due to logistics and security reasons.
• The last date for online registration is May 20, 2024.

Who is Eligible to Apply for the HEC Law Admission Test?

• Students who have successfully completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or its equivalent.
• Students who have taken the final examination of HSSC or equivalent, and are awaiting their results.
• Any updates or alterations to the examination schedule will be communicated via http://etc.hec.gov.pk.
• Applicants who have enrolled through the HEC online registration system will be able to obtain their Roll Number Slips from http://etc.hec.gov.pk one week before the exam.
• Registered applicants will receive notifications via email/SMS regarding the examination details such as date, time, and venue. It’s essential for candidates to provide accurate email/mobile numbers during the online application process.
• A printed copy of the Roll Number Slip and an original CNIC are mandatory for admission into the Examination Centre.
